We are here to talk straight about techno, only techno, no bullshit. We have the best excuse, as the main topic today is one of the finest incarnations of what the French techno scene can bring to the table when it comes to turning any cold-walled warehouse into a proper coal-fired furnace.
The thing is that Paris-based DJ & producer AIROD aka Dario Brkic returns to Amelie Lens’ Lenske for his second 12”. A four track EP entitled \”Rave cycle EP\” that put us on a rave atmosphere like it was in 1994, with strong beats, hard kicks and of course an experimental group of rave and acid sounds that get this tracks on a point ready to hit massive sound systems.

Since he breakthrough on an international level in 2018 with his debut solo 12\” on Molekül,drawing instant support from the likes of Dasha Rush, Boston 168, SNTS, Overmono, to name a few, AIROD\’s kept forging his own strain of techno, both dark and muscular, blustery and tirelessly corrosive. A shared bill with Amelie Lens at REX Club would soon seal Dario’s fate, prompting Lens to get him on board her highly reputed Exhale parties across the Globe, of which he’s since become a mainstay. An increasingly in-demand talent, Dario also joined Dax J\’s Monnom Black stable in the meanwhile, contributing a track to the label\’s eagerly anticipated debut VA \’The World Of Monnom Black\’, alongside some of today\’s techno\’s most renowned big guns.
Overview. Paris-based DJ & producer AIROD aka Dario Brkic returns to Amelie Lens’ Lenske for his second 12” on the Belgian label, ‘Rave Cycle’. Previous solo EPs on Molekul, on his Elixyr and the acclaimed ‘Voltage’ EP on Lenske earlier this year have brought him to play at some of the most emblematic clubs of the international circuit and become part of the Exhale showcases. Following a new round of bombastic releases by the Lenske crew: Farrago, Milo Spykers and Lens herself, it’s now the turn for the Elixyr Records boss to bring the heat.
As expected from AIROD, this new record sounds like it could have been released in 1994. He uses references from rave, acid and gabber together with his fresh approach, the result are 4 club-ready cuts to hit massive sound systems. The A side features the title track ‘Rave Cycle’ and ‘Falling Angels’ that with epic narrative and 303 conquering waves become perfect anthems for sweaty warehouse parties. ‘Bloodshed’ on the flip-side illustrates Dario’s acid exercises in pure form while ‘Fury’ is the final weapon to burn the dance-floor with hardcore vibes.
