When Nico and Christian of Kollektiv Turmstrasse start working the crowd, it’s like somebody dumping a bucket of energy on the dance floor. For more then ten years now, these two have spread their good vibes from Reykjavik to Moscow and further to Tokyo with no plans of slowing down. Some call the duo Berlin‘s new wonder-boys, but actually they come from a small town on the Baltic Sea, and have been residing in Hamburg for some time now.
Kollektiv Turmstrasse draws a lot of influence from the people around them, so living in Hamburg has greatly influenced their music. However, these guys can‘t be easily classified: Kollektiv Turmstrasse makes music for the moment and for eternity, for indoors and for open air, for the soul and for the dancefloor, for you and for me. Along with releases on Connaisseur, Diynamic, Cocoon and Ostwind, Kollektiv Turmstrasse
has also been working on their very own label Musik Gewinnt Freunde, which they started in 2006.
With their big tunes „Tristesse“ and „Grillen im Park“, the guys had already played themselves into the hearts of their permanently growing fanbase. However, their big breakthrough came in 2009, with the „Kollektiv Turmstrasse Let Freedom Ring Rmx“ for Federleicht‘s „On The Streets“.
In November 2010, the duo presented their long-awaited first longplayer „Rebellion der Träumer“ (Rebellion Of The Dreamers), which came out on Connaisseur Recordings. On this album they reflect their progress of the last years and another great site of what they are doing. A lot of love, time and passion left their marks on that album for it to reach your heart and head and to take you on a musical journey.
Furthermore, Kollektiv Turmstrasse released remixes of „Rebellion der Träumer“ by Jimpster and Robag Wruhme on Connaisseur Recordings in June 2011.

Biography of Deetron:
Over recent years, Sam Geiser aka Deetron has emerged as a rising star in the Techno world. His popularity as a Producer has flourished in tandem with his reputation as a dynamic three-deck DJ, and as the latter discipline propelled him across the globe, his work for a growing roster of record labels further cemented his position as a genuine talent within the International scene.

His list of musical achievements stretch back to the early nineties – and on paper it makes for quite an impressive body of work.

Born in Bern, Switzerland, Music was a constant in the Geiser family home. Sam’s father’s activities as a jazz musician ensured that he was surrounded by music from a very early age, sewing the seeds of his own musical interests. But it was Hip-Hop that encouraged this to flourish into an active involvement in music, during his teens. Sam soaked-up the music of Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest, and Prince Paul like a sponge, and was quick to realise the role of the turntable within this context, taking up DJing in 1992.

Early Hip-House producers, such as Todd Terry, also captured his attention, and Sam began to make the transition to more 4/4 orientated sounds – picking up on the now classic output of Chicago and Detroit-based electronic musicians and introducing this into the sets he was, by now, playing around his home town, and further afield in Switzerland.

This led, in 1994, to his first big break – securing a residency at Zurich’s reputed club, Trax at the Rohstofflager. Once reaching this position, Sam felt it was time to make his own forays into music production and began building a studio, drawing on his experience as a DJ to create his own tracks. A meeting with Stefan Reisen, head of the fledgling Phont music, led to the release of Deetron’s first single – as Soulmate, in 1997.

Things snowballed from there. Geiser’s production activity put him on the map, which in turn assisted the growth of his DJ profile. A trip to Japan led to a collaboration with DJ Shufflemaster (again, for Phont), and pretty soon the requests from other labels began to come in. During the late nineties, his work for other labels saw Deetron finding his audience (including a string of International club jocks) and developing his own sound. In later years, Sam’s production touch has graced labels including Cosmic (as Karakter), Ongaku (the ‘Lorraine EP’) and SLS. In addition, he received a deluge of remix requests ’ resulting in work for Samuel L. Session, Ben Sims, Damon Wild, Steve Bicknell (as Karakter), K-Alexy Shelby, Orlando Voorn, Paul Mac and others.

Possible the most fruitful partnership of his career so far is that with Belgium’s Music Man label. Beginning with the ‘Dolls For a Diva’ 12\” in 2001, and including several more 12\”s and a superb mix CD that acts as ample testament to Sam’s skills behind the turntables. Music Man are also the label that Sam has chosen to release his debut full length release.

Geiser has come a long way in a relatively short period of time, but it’s no fluke ascension given his considerable talent and hard work. What’s more, he shows no sign of flagging. Whilst 2003 has been a very busy year, with extensive worldwide DJ dates, singles for Music Man and Intec, and high profile remixes for Ennio Morricone, Victor Simonelli, Gary Martin, and Mark Broom, 2004 and 2005 have taken his DJ-schedule to yet another level and he released the massive “Miss Suave EP” on Intec in 2004 as well as “The floor jackin’ theory” on Music Man in 2005. Furthermore he remixed Funk D’Void, Joris Voorn, Smith & Selway and Detroit Grand Pubahs to name but a few. In 2006 a new single called “Isotope EP” will be released on Music Man in June and his long awaited debut longplayer “Twisted” is set to hit the stores in late September 2006.

Biography of Cosmic Cowboys

\”Cosmic Cowboys\” is a project born from the different styles of two young venetian producers: Nicola Sansoni aka Randomatique and Kaled Jabari aka Kaledj. Big friends since they were 10 years old, they got really soon into electronic music. Influenced by artists as Ian Pooley, King Unique, Francois K, Chicken Lips, Santos, Frankie Knucles, Junior Jack and Kid Creme at first and then from names as Jimpster, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Ripperton, Martin Buttrich, Dirt Crew and Agnes they developed a style that couldn\’t be defined with other name than \”cosmic\”, edging from deep-house tracks to tech-house, to dub and to more groovy works but always with an emotional touch able to create a special intensity in their music.

After some years playing and creating music together, in 2003 Nico moved to Frankfurt a.M. where he discovered a more minimal, techno and IDM attitude, listening to artists as Someone Else, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Akufen and Pantytec while Kaled was getting deep into vocal house, chill-out and lounge music and this brought him to create one of the biggest chill-out archive ever seen and to become host of his own radio show called \”Wellness Time\”.

In 2007, after 2 years as solo djs/producers, they made a track together to experiment a common sound, starting again their collaboration and working under the moniker of \”Cosmic Cowboys\” and thinking about this sound as \”the romantic side of techno\”. In 2008 arrives their first 12\”, with a remix for the duo Apologist (Wave Music) that got the support from stars as Hernan Cattaneo and Francois K appearing also on the compilation from the famous venetian club \”Il Muretto\” that was selected and mixed by Alex Neri (Tenax). After this step their first EP \”Rent a Starship\” was released in december 2008 on the prestigious german label Ostwind Records and it has been played and charted by Solomun, Hosh, Glimpse, Reynold, The Timewriter, Dubfire, Plastic FM, Dubnitzky and Lars Wikinger, being reviewed also on the spanish Deejay Magazine as one of the best records of 2008.

2009 was the time for the 23 years old Nico and Kaled to make more steps and to establish themself as two of the brightest new talents of the actual deep-house scene with releases as the \”Dusk EP\” on Kollektiv Turmstrasse\’s imprint \”Musik Gewinnt Freunde\” and the \”Goodnight EP\” on Reynold\’s \”Trenton Records\” together with other singles and remixes for important label as Resopal, Tanzbar, Dilek and Khazuma Future reaching the charts of names as Solomun and Marc Poppcke and being supported by Laurent Garnier, Shinedoe, Milton Jackson, Brendon Moeller, Alex Flitsch, Nhar, Alex Niggemann, Jussi Pekka, Alex Flatner and Daniel FX among the others. In the same time also their fame as djs grew up and brought them to create their own party , the \”Origami\” and to perform at clubs and parties in Italy and in other european countries as Germany, France and Switzerland.

Next to this releases there are also their first works for their label “Kina Music” created together with their friends Re-UP (Upon You), a project that started in November 2008 with the target of becoming a platform to collaborate with friends as Nicolas Duvoisin (SiteHolder), MaStaFaktor (Mina Rec), Alex Tsiridis (Trapez), Marcus Vector (Toys for Boys), Rio Padice (Mosaiko), Ed Davenport (Liebe*Detail), Paulo Olarte (Diynamic), Drei Farben House (Brut!), Varoslav (Supplement Facts), David Durango (Dessous), Van Hai (Perspectiv) and that is getting the attention of music lovers and djs from all over the world.
