Boom Merchant continues to assert himself as one of techno’s most dynamic up-and-coming artists with a new EP titled ‘Suena Bien‘.

Gradually strengthening his foothold within the global techno scene, Boom Merchant has been a stalwart within the underground for a long time, but has recently been pushing to grow international recognition.

Having relocated from the United Kingdom to Mexico, he has left his mark on the Scottish scene, after being a key player in Glasgow where he was a resident at the city’s Serge Nightclub. He is now making waves in Mexico City, where dance floors are starting to experience his style, which is dark, deep, driving, and gritty.

“Suena Bien” gets the release moving with falling melodies layered with fizzing hi-hats and a rumbling bassline, which forged together, create a mesmerising track with ominous undertones. “Sparkle” is one of the notable tracks, fusing an acid house piano riff and gospel vocals with slamming techno percussion. “Fourth Wind” is a stripped back composition with crunching drums and lurching sub-bass creating a hard-hitting groove with eerie suspense. “Red Sun Dub” boxes off the release with sparkling synths and a hulking lead synth, creating euphoria that’s augmented in the breakdown with angelic vocals.
