Manu Calmet Biography
From drummer to techno producer, Manu Calmet is passionate about rhythms. Creating experiences and textures through sounds, he keeps the momentum going on the dancefloor. From uploading club tools on SoundCloud to playing at different nightclubs in Buenos Aires, and collaborating with different artists from the local scene. Since 2023, he is the resident DJ/live performer of the queer collective/label HIEDRAH. He has collaborated with Sara Hebe, Sassyggirl, DJ Sustancia, and many more. He has had releases on Angels Gun Club, Jerry Horny, to name a few. Pulling inspiration from Latin rhythms and Argentinian culture, Manu’s productions stand out for their diversity of references and styles.
Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Manu pours his heart and soul into every project he undertakes. With a deep appreciation for the art form, Calmet understands the power of music to unite and heal. Involved in the local underground LGBTQ+ scene, he strives to create an inclusive space where everyone is welcome to enjoy music and connect with one another.
