With all his senses focused on sophisticated, dark and energetic outstanding techno, Christian Hornbostel is now presenting his new 12-track album ‘Liber Prodigiorum‘. This album comes followed by previous and successful albums ‘Liber Secretus‘ and ‘Liber Tertius‘, and as usual, this new piece confirms the full diversity of Hornbostel’s various strands and his interesting look on techno makes it a worthwhile listen, especially if you’re fond of the progressive sweeping club floors.

Review: Christian Hornbostel’s new album is a very attractive sonic odyssey. The album starts with ‘Incipit’, a kind of intro track in which the producer shows us a perfect introduction to an album of pure electronic music, without signatures or genre conventions. The release comes out in a 14-track LP format with a perfect design of sound featuring many different textures and rhythms, making the Hornbostel’s beats even more fine and luxurious.

Of course it is a Hornbostel\’s album, so definitely you will find the usual dark and strong kick with driving techno sounds in tracks like ‘Pneuma’, ‘Astronomia Nova’ or ‘Tractatus Gemini’, and there’s also more interesting cuts in the rest of the album, with melodramatic sounds and luxury background elements. Definitely an amazing album to discover, that without hesitation, we highly recommend. 10/10.

Review: With ‘Liber Secretus’, Christian Hornbostel showcases, -in my personal opinion-, some of his finest tunes done. Since the very beginning of the LP, with the intro track ‘Synchronia et Diachronia’, until the outro, ‘Sapere Aude’, this albums never aparts from its banging techno groove, while the producer, track by track, explores a wide and elegant range of hypnotic and surrealistic beats, that conform a sophisticated structure of sound for this album divided in 14 outstanding track. Great album.
