Hey people, let’s continue talking about techno music. It was only a few weeks ago that we were sharing in this blog some words about the very nice release that UMEK made in collaboration with Cosmic Boys and Teenage Mutants entitled “Evolution / Feels Like A Tunnel” and that is already out.

Now, UMEK’s label 1605 welcomes back the French duo conformed by Sebastien Bevil plus Gaby Meynadier, Cosmic Boys, who recently featured on the imprint working in collaboration with UMEK himself, but this time they are back with two solo tracks.

Quickly rising through the ranks of the world’s techno elite, Cosmic Boys have achieved many top 10 selling tracks on Beatport,  have been released via tracks and remixes on labels such as Popof’s FORM, Oscar Aguilera’s HE-ART and Richie Hawtin’s Minus, and currently their collaboration with UMEK is charted at No.2 in the techno section of the website.

Well, as we said in the first paragraph, the prolific techno duo from France is back, without resting, and are presenting their fresh 2-track \”Paranormal EP\” that brings out to light an avant-garde standpoint for dark techno, featuring futuristic sci-fi sounds, dark rhythms, sinister tones and a sort of elements that really conform a complete and powerful techno release. Very nice work here.

Review. Track one is “Paranormal” that \”opens the release with a hammering kick drum and tense pads that lay a foundation for the arpeggiating lead synth and sci-fi , effects. Swelling with tension, its high-paced energy gives the track a frantic momentum that’s perfect for peak time plays.

Second of the cuts, “We Are The Futrur” is deeper and more stripped back with a building euphoria that engulfs the track. Underpinned by the relentless pounding of the tough percussion and sinister tones of the ominous vocal, this cut is a twisted blend of dark and light textures.\”
