Joachim Spieth delivers a new ambient 8-track album titled “Tides”.

This post is very special for Living Techno, it is all about Joachim Spieth and the announcement of his new ambient album “Tides” that will be out on vinyl in February 2020 (Almost there).

It is special because when we started all this website, one of the first artist we started talking about was Joachim, a DJ and producer based in Germany, also Affin’s label owner. We have share thoughts, music, even gigs, and it crazy that after all this years, the love for music just keep us on track.

The years have passed out, and \”Spieth’s musical inventory has grown and been shaped over the two last decades, allowing him to define a specific sound signature for his label Affin, oscillating between techno and ambient soundscapes. In 2017, Joachim Spieth released “Irradiance”, his first full-length album, providing a cohesive feel of deep and atmospheric soundscapes with hypnotic bass drums. The album was well received in the underground scene.\”

\”In 2018, Affin made its entry in Resident Advisor’s top 100 labels, sharing its vision with artists such as Reggy Van Oers, Svarog, Arnaud Le Texier, Deepbass, and Toki Fuko.\”

Now in 2020 you know why we just keep talking about this outstanding artist. As we were saying, “Tides” is Joachim Spieth’s second longplayer which will be released on his own Affin imprint.

The album is divided into 8 tracks, built by seemingly endless, sensitively interwoven surfaces and creates curves of tension between immersive, melancholic and euphoric moments.

This album really mark the genre, creating layers of atmospheric sounds to at the end built a dense and engaging mood, flowing into a swirl of emotions to encourage a sense of calm or contemplation, even in the dark paths of nature and the origin of specific sounds that belongs at the end to everyone, as we are the same in the space, as we are sound itselfs.
