Macro Hits is a brand-new label run by Amanda Mussi along with Ananda, two DJs from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, respectively, who have been at the forefront of the Brazilian rave scene and have a strong presence in the queer underground music scene.
The label was born out of a mutual love for uplifting dance music, and their quest for tracks that fitted their intended musical target: groovy and made for the dancefloor tunes rather than those for hiding moodily in a corner.
Inspired both graphically and sonically by the graffiti of their hometowns, Macro Hits unite some of the best and most distinct talents from South America into the first compilation release called Sudor which means sweat.
The debut releases of the new label will be two high-energy music compilations. On March 4th, 2022 will be released ‘MACR001 – Sudor vol.1‘ with tracks from: Ananda, Martinelli, Macro Dancers, ERAM, NORA , Ariel Me Llamo, CRAZED (BR), Amanda Mussi and Giograng. Pre order: Bandcmap
Later on May 6th, 2022 will be released ‘MACR002 – Sudor vol.2‘ with tracks from: Sebastian G, ALXS, Nog4yra, Projekt Gestalten, Felix, Victoria Mussi, Cosmo Lopez and SLOW.
This compilation of tracks features artists from Brazil and Paraguay (some already known, and some more underground), with their take on styles ranging from house, techno, electro, and breaks.
Sudor, which translates as sweat, is a compilation that distills sounds and images from a typical rave off the burgeoning Latin American scene that has been slowly but steadily sipping into the dance music phenomenon that has taken over the world. As a result, it is the perfect sampler of electronic music from that side of the world with one clear objective: making you sweat on the dancefloor.
