Texas-based DJ and producer Chemtrailz has been running his Terra Novae imprint since the beginning of 2021, with the label picking up support from heavy hitters such as Amanda Mussi, Paula Temple, Ellen Allien and many more. Following a recent Boiler Room appearance, Chemtrailz delivers two original productions alongside a remix from Gegen Berlin resident and Physical Techno Records, Kalmary Records and Unbekannt/ Label boss, Ayako Mori for the fourth release on the label, ‘Wheat From The Chaff’.
Pounding kick drums and energetic stabs open the release on ‘To Be Right Now’, with chopped vocal samples leading the track into a dramatic breakdown. Following on is Ayako Mori’s remix, with the Japanese DJ/producer injecting her style of fast and sonically dense techno into the track before the title cut ‘Wheat From The Chaff’ closes the release with trippy atmospherics with electric synthesis.
