After having started their first record label in 2002, Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell are back in business 20 years later launching a new label, Lømsk Records.

‘Lømsk Records‘ is dedicated to our own musical output, firmly rooted in the mindset and spirit of utilizing a somewhat playful & mischievous, but always genuine, approach to the concept of underground dance-music and as a label. An approach that is faithful & influenced by the characteristics of old Swedish labels & artists we were inspired by as young techno enthusiasts. These are also components we often feel are deprived in the world of contemporary electronic music. And when something is repressed it’s natural to seek to add to it. FillIng the vacuum.

It’s equal parts being faithful as well as paying homage to an idea & spirit that we revere, both then and now. We believe molding the mentality from the past with our current devotion to electronic music is the ideal direction for us. The name itself spins on this, “lömsk” roughly translates to “sneaky” “sly” or “shifty”. You may rely on us.
