Loraine James & TSVI ready to release their collaborative EP, ‘053’.

The innovative and highly praised London-based producers Loraine James and TSVI have announced their collaborative EP ‘053‘ due out in Vinyl & All digital formats on May 13th, 2022 via AD93.

The  EP was recorded in a two week stint during the depths of the last lockdown while the pair were cohabiting and sharing a studio in East London. The result was  this extraordinary and energetic, visceral EP bubbling with the spontaneity and energy the lockdown robbed them of. After listening to it completely, we can recommend it without a doubt, the EP offers 5 songs full of sounds that one pleasantly wants and needs to listen to. Something different.

Alongside this announcement, they’ve just shared two singles from the EP: ‘Observe’ & ‘Trust’, listen below.

London-based producers Loraine James and TSVI have announced their collaborative EP, to be released 13th May 2022 via AD93.

These two artists have already cemented their names within the electronic music community, and this exciting partnership will serve to strengthen their position as two of the most influential producers of current times.

‘053’ was recorded in a two week stint during the depths of the last lockdown while the pair were cohabiting and sharing a studio in East London. Even with the limited assortment of an out-of-tune piano, a cheap microphone, their phones, and Ableton, ‘053’ is an energetic, visceral EP bubbling with the spontaneity and energy the lockdown robbed them of.

The first singles released from this project, Observe and Trust, playfully combine the acoustic with the electronic. In Observe, angelic vocals cut through the layers of intricate synths and drums, taking you on a journey of true escapism the pair yearned for. Consistent with James’ previous work and inspired by the city the duo inhabit, the track is transporting you through a neon soaked London.

Trust is the comedown to Observe’s high. The crystal clear vocals on the previous track are now hushed and blurred with aquatic synths, with a calming, resonant piano creating a celestial conclusion to the commotion.

“Each track name and the EP as a whole represents our state of mind and shared feelings at that current time during isolation. We lived together in a warehouse space in Hackney Wick. We made those tracks during the last part of the lockdown. We’d go to my studio with no pressure to make anything.”
