Meet the new Moog´s analogue synth called Matriarch.

It’s been awhile since i don’t published about Dj and Producer equipment and related stuff, and its curious, as i remember, that always i got to start writing back about equipment, several times, after seeing something of Moog. It’s always so outstanding, you already know why.

Continuing with the main topic, it\’s time to present something really promising from the Moog\’s Semi-Modular Family of Analog Synthesizers, the Matriarch.
Moog Matriarch is a patchable 4-note paraphonic analog synthesizer with a built-in Sequencer,  Arpeggiator, stereo Ladder Filters, and stereo Analog Delay. Create rich evolving chord patterns immediately with “no patching required”, then tap into an abundance of inspiring textures, new sounds, and an endless supply of happy accidents through Matriarch’s 90 modular patch points. Based on the vintage circuitry of classic Moog synthesizer modules, Matriarch is a catalyst for creative ideas and a medium for multidimensional expression.

You can watch exploring the Moog Matriarch synthesizer from their personal home studios, multi-instrumentalist Lisa Bella Donna, Ghostly Intl. electronic producer Max Ravitz (Patricia), Anthem / Call of Duty / AssassinsCreed composer Sarah Schachner, and Paris Strother of Grammy-nominated R&B duo We Are KING express four unique sonic perspectives on the new instrument within the context of their own creative environments. Go to moogmusic.com/products/matriarch to read the full details.

Following in the footsteps of last year\’s Grandmother, the 49-key Matriarch expands the sound engine to a four-oscillator design capable of functioning in mono, duo and four-note paraphonic modes.

Although it contains 90 patch points for rerouting audio and modulation, Matriarch\’s semi-modular signal path is also prewired to work without patching. Stereo ladder filters and syncable delay, along with an in-built 256-step sequencer and arpeggiator, complement a pair of envelopes, two VCAs and two LFOs for sound-shaping. Stereo delay and filtering are among the highlights of the $1999 synth.
