Konstruktion was first launched in 2014 with a focus on Kristian Heikkila’s own music, but the imprint paused in 2021 when Kristian started to focus his music towards other imprints. During that pause, he released tracks on other record labels such as Gynoid Audio, OFF Recordings, Second State and Sway.
Following a lot of interest in his raw and driving style of techno with analogue sounds and subtle jazz influence, Kristian Heikkila has decided now is the time to relaunch Konstruktion with an EP featuring three of his own techno tracks.
“Bounce” is the title track on the new Konstruktion release, and it’s a hypnotic cut with fast-paced percussion and jackin’ vocal stabs. “Soul” is the second track on the release, and it’s got soulful vocals layered over menacing synth chords and a rumbling bassline. “Lost Rider” closes the release with digitised textures that create trippy atmosphere, while pitched tom drums and a thumping kick drum create a driving energy.
This is a master crafted techno release that has widespread appeal due to its main stage energy, but with raw sound design.
