Boom Merchant is an Irish techno producer who is fresh off a recent release on T78’s Autektone Dark, and now is back with a new EP called, Regroup & Lounge to be released via Tribal Pulse.
Regroup & Lounge includes two original tracks by Boom Merchant, and two remixes of the title track by Hockins. The title track on the release combines hard-hitting techno percussion with emotive vocals, and the second cut is dark and hypnotic.
The release comes via Boom Merchant’s Tribal Pulse record label, and it has already gained support by DJs ranging from Pan-Pot to Slam.
Hockins is a Ukranian artist who has worked with Tribal Pulse in the past, and his style is influenced by UK garage and breakbeat. He has also featured music on other record labels ranging from Elektroshok Records to 83.
“Regroup & Lounge” is a standout track with a captivating dark and light contrast that gives it a unique sound. “Arparp” is an industrial track with an ominous vibe. Hockins ‘Atmo Remix’ of “Regroup & Lounge” is a hardcore rave remix, and his ‘Blue Remix’ of “Regroup & Lounge” transforms the track into UK garage.
