James Ruskin is back with a very special release, this time on his own label. Moving on to his more experimental and industrial side of techno, Ruskin presents three new tracks filled with sounds created with a pure electronic dark and abstract nature. The new EP titled ‘Shortcut‘ is going to be released in digital on march 12 and later on Vinyl. (TBA) Read the full story below.
A bastion for British Techno, Blueprint Records was originally founded in 1996 by James Ruskin and the late Richard Polson and since then has continued to be at the forefront of cutting-edge labels. To celebrate its 25th anniversary are a series of releases from Ruskin and other featured artists.
The first of these is James Ruskin’s latest solo EP, ‘Shortcut’ released in March, which features three typically sublime Techno cuts from the driving title track, via the deeper rhythms of ‘Hang Up’ to the experimental ‘Drums Eyes’.
It will be followed by a Truncate and Ruskin EP in April, a new Ruskin and Broom EP ‘Basement Jams 2’ in May, and a special anniversary compilation later in the year.
