With Iceland now reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic, the matinee concerts, are scheduled for the 9th, 15th and 23rd, and will take place at Harpa Hall with a live audience. Each show will be acoustic and feature different Icelandic musicians Björk has collaborated with over the years. Together, they will perform fresh versions of her songs.

As of June 15th, visitors to Iceland from the EU and Schengen states must either be swabbed for COVID-19 at the airport or enter into 14-day quarantine. (If the test comes back positive, you must also quarantine.) On July 1st, this will be extended to the rest of the world, though visitors will have to pay extra for the test. Bars, restaurants and tourist attractions are currently open.

Björk posted a note explaining his intentions on this, she said: \”i would like to invite you to some concerts, to honour folks who got hit hardest in the corona virus and the black lives matter movement, and to honour how many icelandic musicians i have worked with through the years…\”
