Overview. Cosmic Boys are fresh off their No.1 selling techno track “Evlolution” that was made in collaboration with UMEK, and are back on their own label Legend with a new two track EP.
Legend has been a regular platform for the Cosmic Boys own output, but their tracks and remixes can also be found on other notable imprints such as UMEK’s 1605, Simina Grigoriu\’s Kuukou and Oscar Aguilera\’s HE-ART. Adam Beyer also opened his recent live set for Cercle with Cosmic Boys track \”Arrival\” which was released on Legend.
Continuing to raise the bar with their peak time style of techno, Cosmic Boys are a French duo who have been building a steady momentum. The high energy tracks with compelling melodies and chunky percussion are an extension of their hybrid DJ sets, which blend synths and drum machines with loops taken from their favourite tracks. Making live edits on the fly, the pairs creativity knows no bounds and the two original tracks on this EP are testament to this.
The EP opens with the title cut “Fireworks” that blends a crunching kick drum with grinding bass tones and frantic melodies. Fast and furious with an epic breakdown, this enthralling cut delivers an intense dance floor experience that is perfect for peak time spins.
“Other Identity” is second on the release with its pulsating synths that swell with kinetic energy.
