Let\’s get down to the real business and start talking about Berlin industrial techno. Undoubtedly an odyssey for many techno lovers in general, that\’s right, industrial techno, when it comes from Berlin, you just have to know that it will be something rough, fast and harmonious.
That is exactly the case right now, as we discover and announce that Droughtwerk, a Berlin / Germany based combination of artist & label, is releasing his new EP that has been entitled \”Exit Burdock\” which contains 4 new tracks, all of them proper to break dancefloors, and above all, industrialize the rhythms of techno. Get into it.
Droughtwerk Biography.
Droughtwerk – \”from dub techno to deep melodic sounds mixed with percussive grooves, but always staying timeless\” that\’s their approach of making music. They are living in a city that is influenced by an area that simply lives & breaths techno – Berlin.
Droughtwerk is basically two longtime friends that have met in the scene ages ago. Always interested in each others\’ sound, checking out what the other one is up to at the moment. A couple years ago, together they started to work on some little projects, \”it felt good right away\”, that\’s what they say today about that chapter. Some time later, somehow Droughtwerk was born. Lots of meetings in the studio did follow, making music, having a lot of fun while just talking ideas about the future. Always evolving and developing new soundscapes to get deeper and deeper into the genre.
This is Droughtwerk first release and is also \”made for peak-time hunters, treated with minimalistic warehouse elements, full of attitude and hints of melodies. All 4 productions come around in a more raw-ish kind of way, but that\’s wanted. A mix of close to a full banger, but still a toolish timeless set of mind.\”
