Late April 2022 sees the Belgian Fred Hush head to iVAV Recordings as he readies his ‘Hillbilly Boy’ EP, with Materia boss Marco Bailey and regular collaborator Sigvard stepping up on remix duties.

Booming title cut ‘Hillbilly Boy’ welcomes a cavernous main-room opener as murky low-ends meet skittering hats and sweeping synths, while Marco Bailey and Sigvard’s take journeys further into the peak-time as they up the tempo and introduce a swathe of euphoric leads and hard-hitting drums. Next, ‘Kick It’ journeys into hazy territories as rattling metallic tones meet hypnotic looped vocals, before ‘Macdonalds’ draws on the minimal-leaning M-nus days as suspenseful synths and off-kilter vox samples march forth amongst the mix.
