This year, not long ago, I had the opportunity to attend to the Movement in Detroit, and in one of the official after parties, i had the chance to listen a B2B Dj Set for the records, one with too much techno power, mental, just how i like it, this was the official closing party of the amazing Movement week in Detroit, and the music was in charge of Charlotte de Witte and Chris Liebing. (Watch the video below)
And of course, as expected, after seeing them appear in festivals playing together, something like this had to happen. Charlotte de Witte launches her new KNTXT label with Chris Liebing collaboration, and how i said, the joint project idea was born during last year\’s Awakenings Festival.
Now on, everything is real, and the first release from Charlotte de Witte\’s new label, KNTXT, is coming next month. The EP has been entitled \”Liquid Slow\”, and is a collaboration with techno heavyweight Chris Liebing. The forthcoming EP will be out on September 27th, and features two tracks that are on fire, as you already know.
Charlotte had some nice words on this upcoming release, she said \”I consider Chris to be my friend, and I\’m very proud and honored to have worked with him on this EP.\”… “I field-recorded the sound of a crane that was already taking stuff down next to us and thought it would be a good starting point,“ says Chris. It didn’t make it to this recording, but he hints, \”who knows, maybe there is more in the pipeline, I still have the recording\”.
KNTXT was developed last year by de Witte as an extension of her traveling party and brand of the same name. Liebing has been a staple at the parties, and will be joining de Witte at the upcoming KNTXT events at ADE 2019 and Antwerp venue Sportpaleis event following the release of the EP.
