Drumcell sets up a new techno EP titled ‘Fallbrook’ for Max Gardner’s Peer label, to be released this February 17th, 2023. The release is a bombshell that includes two original tracks and a remix by Max Gardner himself. A must to share, as this EP is on the edge of modern and hypnotic techno, very recommendable stuff! Full details below.
Drumcell has previously appeared on Rodhad’s Dystopian, Chris Liebing’s CLR, and many others throughout his career, regularly delivering well-received, hard-hitting techno tracks. Now turning his sights to Max Gardner’s nascent Peer imprint spearheading the grassroots San Francisco techno scene, the LA-based DJ/producer drops another two crunching productions backed with a remix from the label boss.
Leading the release is ‘Fallbrook’, which combines propulsive and splashy percussion with swirling drones and hypnotic pads. Max Gardner flips the drum pattern on his remix, utilising elements of the original between the broken atmosphere. Rounding out the release is ‘Fever Pitch’, which combines emotive synths with powerful, swinging loops for a rolling closer to the EP.
