One of the biggest names in the world wide techno scene, UMEK, is back on his label 1605 with a very emotive and thrilling EP entitled ‘Watchers of the Sky‘. This 2-track release features a collaboration with Mha Iri who has become a regular on the imprint. Alongside the collaboration, the second track on the EP showcases UMEK’s electro focused alter ego Zeta Reticula. The EP is scheduled to be released this friday August 27, 2021. On point, as usual, reworking the mighty sound of the end of the 90s, –the golden era of techno and trance anthems, UMEK and his label (1605) are excited to present a 2020 rework of a \’90s classic track “Calling Earth” by Yves Deruyter.
After so many good releases this year, and most recently collaborating with The YellowHeads with the ‘Driller EP’ that was a success, UMEK is back on his label 1605 with another stomping two tracker bundle in his usual style of peak time techno with powerful melodies and thundering percussion.
Umek’s label 1605 is having a prolific year, releases keep coming, and the level is better each time. Now, Umek is proud to present his debut collaboration with Spanish duo The YellowHeads who have released on many great labels ranging from Kraftek to We Are The Brave, and of course their own label Reload.
Hello people, time to talk about the next UMEK release, that’s due to hit stores on the 8th of May.
As you may notice, UMEK is currently dominating the techno charts with all his 2020 releases on 1605 making their way to the No.1 spot on Beatport.
A lot of techno seekers began their journey listening to producers like UMEK back in the 90s. Now in a new decade, here is a little announcement of Umek´s upcoming release for next month (February, 2020) that in our opinion his releases now days are getting back to the sounds and rhythms of techno he use to produce back in the days.
I guess back in the 90s techno scene was in another platform, in another kind of action and it was not what it is today, but the bases of course are the same. This is not an outstridge for new generations, that can also discover and enjoy classics, old school hits that get techno scene where is it now. We can thank that to big artists with big careers like UMEK.
Great news people, the thing is that one of Europe’s pioneering techno artists is back with a 2-track EP that is on fire. Thats right, UMEK is back in his own label 1605, and has announced his upcoming \”Vigilance EP\”, a two track release that features some groovy percussion slams, hard hitting kick drums, fast-paced rhythms, trippy sounds and a high energy level of techno. This tracks remembers the guidelines for a good techno anthem.
