Arriving next month in early June on NowNow Records is the Mumbai-based Mexican techno madame, Ana Lilia, that lands on the label with three fierce new techno cuts on her new EP titled ‘The Voyeur‘, which includes a remix from French artist Soraä.
‘The Voyeur‘ EP due out in all digital format on June 3rd, 2022 is definitely a good piece of music that is worth listening to, as it brings out indelible techno tracks once more from NowNow Records. Stay tuned, full details below.
Lilia brings brand new inspirations to her sounds which fuse house and techno with plenty of cultural references. From big and bouncy to deep or tribal, she can do it all and has displayed her skills at parties like Elrow, clubs around the world and now with this adventurous new EP on Lee Ann Roberts’ increasingly vital label.
Kicking off is the powerful ‘The Voyeur,’ with spangled synths that bring real dynamism to the straight-ahead techno beats and rugged bass. It is physical but warm and the lithe synth work sounds relayed from the future. ‘Vesuvius’ then cuts loose on a flat-footed, hard edge techno rhythm, with industrial textures and distorted synths taking you to the next level.
‘Muscat’ is an unrelenting banger with lashings of laser-like synth spreading about the mix as chopped-up Indian vocals cut in and out. It’s pure rave energy for vast warehouse spaces. Soraä’s remix is big and bulky, with ghoulish synths and vast, rolling bass that never quits. It’s a wall of impenetrable sound that will lock in any crowd.
