Review. FadeFace new EP entitled \’Artifacts\’, is a delivery of 3 original tracks plus a remix by Thomas Hessler, everything very well produced. Each track has its own hypnotic, chaotic cosmic atmosphere accompanied with minimalist sounds, drones and deep textures very typical of heavy techno. This EP is without a doubt a masterpiece and a release that all vinyl collectors must have. Simply amazing.
An artist that has captivated our attention is FadeFace, aka Otavio, a fiercely percussive take on techno, an artist that is often described as a controlled chaotic mixture of 90s techno and schranz with layers of atmospheric dissonance. He has been producing ominous and distorted music since 2009 and has shared the room with some heavy hitting artists including Oliver Ho, Thomas Hessler, Setaoc Mass, and Matrixxman.
Now, FadeFace is back with its 4th release on his own imprint Lemos, this time accompanied by a remix from heavy hitter Thomas Hessler. The new EP has been titled ‘Artifacts‘, and offers a 4-track bundle of original tracks that are from another galaxy. The official release date has been settled for April 29th, 2021 in Vinyl and Digital formats. Stay tuned.
The German born artist creates a nostalgic atmosphere with ethereal synth sounds and groovy percussion, while NY native FadeFace explores the depths of hypnotic minimalism.
Expect lots of movement, dynamic drones, deep textures and a heavy kick.
