The new Monobox album, ‘Regenerate‘ creates an all-enveloping story from its opening chapter and the atmospheric ‘Rise’. Stripped-back tribalism ensues with ‘Blackwater Canal’ before the ominous ‘Wargames’, while ‘Angel City’ brings a lighter, sparkling touch. Disc two delivers the gritty ‘Exoplanet’ running at over nine minutes as it gradually draws you in, then flip over for the sweeping grooves of ‘Drydock’. The album closes on the album’s title track where vintage melodies sit alongside techno futurism.

As we previously announced in October with Robert Hood‘s news detailing the return of his much-loved Monobox alias and the ‘Forwardbase Kodai EP’ comprising two exclusive tracks and two remixes from himself and Ø [Phase], now Robert delivers the full Monobox regeneration across an album featuring seven more outstanding tracks. The new LP has been titled ‘Regenerate‘ and reaffirms the good taste served on the previous EP, now with more outstanding tracks that need to be heard, but most of all, danced. ‘Forwardbase Kodai EP’ features two exclusive originals that will not appear on the forthcoming album. Robert’s approach to this moniker was to create techno minimalism, but from an alien futuristic perspective and the title track sets the scene for this Monobox re-awakening, while ‘Homestead’ delivers a gentler but no less epic take on the bristling and sci-fi tinged techno sound.
